About the Program

From the 2007 Harlem Book Fair, a panel on the politics of African American identity.  The panelists included W.D. Wright author of "Crisis of the Black Intellectual," Gloria Browne-Marshall "Race, Law, and American Society," Paul Robeson, Jr. "A Black Way of Seeing" and Carol Lee "Culture, Literacy, and Learning."  The panel was moderated by Anthony Samad author of "50 Years After Brown: The State of Black Equality in America."

He is the archivist of the Robeson Papers, a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, a Russian translator, and a lecturer and analyst of American and Russian society. He is the son of actor/activist Paul Robeson.

Anthony Samad
