John Stauffer, winner of the 2002 Frederick Douglass Book Prize and runner-up for the Lincoln Prize for his previous book, "The Black Hearts of Men" recounts the personal and political lives of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglas and examines the affect both men had on each other.  This event was hosted by Politics and Prose bookstore in Washington, DC.
