About the Program
On June 17, 1972, five men were arrested trying to break into the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C. Five years later, former President Richard Nixon sat down for a series of interviews with David Frost. The eleven sessions aired worldwide and included the former President’s thoughts on topics ranging from the Watergate scandal to the Vietnam War. In "Frost/Nixon: Behind the Scenes of the Nixon Interviews" Sir David Frost recounts the preparation and execution required to produce the interviews and includes personal remembrances of his on and off camera conversations with President Nixon. David Frost discusses his book with Timothy Naftali, the director of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.
