Virginia Postrel

About the Program

Virginia Postrel was a guest on Booknotes in 1999 to discuss her book, "The Future and Its Enemies: The Growing Conflict Over Creativity, Enterprise, and Progress."  In the book, she argues that history has shown that people who try to rein in the forces of progress, based on dire predictions of where we are headed, are the true enemies of humanity's future.
