About the Program

From the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC, James Chace discusses his new book "1912" which covers the presidential election of 1912. He describes the personalities and relationships between Woodrow Wilson, Teddy Roosevelt, William Taft and Eugene Debs. In his book Chace speculates that the U.S. would have entered and ended World War I earlier if Roosevelt won the election.
