Anna Quindlen was a guest on Booknotes to talk about her book "Thinking Out Loud: On the Personal, the Political, the Public and the Private." In her book, Ms. Quindlen discusses her views on a wide range of topics through what she calls the "special lens of her gender." She includes commentary on such issues as moral hypocrisy, bigotry, lying, and violence.
Anna Quindlen was a columnist for the New York Times and Newsweek and won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1992. Ms. Quindlen's New York Times columns were published in the books, "Living Out Loud" and "Thinking Out Loud." Her Newsweek columns were published in the book "Loud and Clear." She is also the author of several bestselling works of fiction, including "Object Lessons," "One True Thing" and "Black and Blue."
