About the Program

From Book Expo America at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, a panel composed of the faculty from New York University's SCPS Center for Publishing, discuss what they learn from their students. The panelists include, Susan Weinberg, group publisher, Basic Books, Nation Books, and PublicAffairs; Matt Baldacci, vice president of marketing, Scholastic Trade Publishing; Brenda Copeland, executive editor, St. Martin's Press; and Justin Chanda, vice president and publisher, Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers.  The panel is moderated by Andrea Chambers, director, New York University's SCPS Center for Publishing.  Book Expo America is an annual trade show for the publishing industry that features author events, educational panels, and information on soon-to-be published books.
