About the Program
Stephanie Gutmann discusses her book "The Kinder, Gentler Military: Can America's Gender-Neutral Fighting Force Still Win Wars?" The author asserts that in instituting reforms during the 1990s, the Congress has replaced military readiness with political correctness. In preparing for the book, Stephanie Gutmann interviewed male and female members of the armed forces. She believes that complete integration of women into the military is physically and sociologically impossible and has a demoralizing effect on our armed forces.
