"The Wrong Enemy: America in Afghanistan, 2001-2014" & "Balochistan: At a Crossroads"

Carlotta Gall; Willem Marx

About the Program

From The Half King in New York City, Carlotta Gall and Willem Marx talk about Pakistan and the border area between Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran.  In her book, "The Wrong Enemy," Carlotta Gall argues that following 9/11, the U.S. should have focused on Pakistan instead of Afghanistan.  She says that the Afghans have paid a heavy price for Pakistan's treachery.  Willem Marx talks about the border region between Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran - an area called Balochistan - and the civil conflict that is happening there.
