Robert Edsel, author of "The Monuments Men," will be LIVE on Book TV to take your questions via phone calls, Twitter, and Facebook. 

In "The Monuments Men," Mr. Edsel tells the story of the Allied forces who were tasked with recovering European cultural artifacts stolen by the Nazis during World War II.  The unit, made up of museum directors, curators, and art historians, successfully prevented millions of pieces of art and other cultural treasures from being destroyed.            

About the Authors

Robert Edsel

Robert Edsel is the author of "Rescuing Da Vinci" and the co-producer of the documentary film, "The Rape of Europa" that explores the history of Europe's stolen masterpieces during World War II.  Mr. Edsel is the founder of The Monuments Men Foundation for the Preservation of Art, which was the recipient of the National Humanities Medal in 2007.  For more, visit: monumentsmen.com.
