Marwan Muasher, former Jordanian Foreign Minister and ambassador to the United States, takes a critical look at The Arab Spring and argues that for Arab countries to prosper, they must embrace pluralism.  Mr. Muasher spoke at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs in New York City.   

About the Authors

Marwan Muasher

Marwan Muasher served as foreign minister of Jordan from 2002-2004 and as deputy prime minister of the country from 2004-2005.  Mr. Muasher is a former journalist and currently serves as vice president for studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.  He is the author of "The Arab Center."
