About the Program
Cris Beam examines the foster care system in the United States. The author, a foster mother herself, reports on how children are moved throughout the system and profiles numerous kids, including a group "aging out" of foster care and what that means for their future. Cris Beam speaks at the Strand Bookstore in New York City.
