About the Authors

Kathryn Bowers

Kathryn Bowers is a former writer and producer at CNN International and a staff editor at The Atlantic Monthly.  She also served as an assistant press attache at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.  Ms. Bowers currently teaches a course on medical narrative at UCLA.  For more information, visit  zoobiquity.com.
