About the Program
Benjamin Barber argues in his forthcoming book, "If Mayors Ruled the World," that it's at the city level where things get done and problems are solved. Because this is the case, he argues, more should be done to push cooperation between cities on even major global issues like climate change, illegal trafficking, immigration, and terrorism. During this event, held at the City University of New York, Prof. Barber is joined by CUNY's Frances Fox Piven and Kathleen McCarthy.
