About the Program

Jeanne Theoharis, political science professor at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, recounts the late civil rights leader, Rosa Parks' political activism.  The author argues that Mrs. Parks is often only remembered for her bus arrest in Montgomery, Alabama, but her involvement in the civil rights movement was far more extensive.  Jeanne Theoharis speaks at the Rosa Parks Museum at Troy University in Montgomery, Alabama.
