Joseph Wheelan recounts the life of Union General Philip Sheridan (1831-1888), whose Cavalry Corps forced the surrender of Robert E. Lee at Appomattox Courthouse.  The author recalls General Sheridan's military tactics and his post-war career, which included command of the U.S. Army.  Philip Sheridan speaks at Quail Ridge Books & Music in Raleigh, North Carolina.
