After Words

After Words: Marguerite Guzman Bouvard, "The Invisible Wounds of War: Coming Home from Iraq and Afghanistan," hosted by Amy Goodman, Democracy Now!

About the Program

Poet and professor Marguerite Guzman Bouvard focuses on the battles U.S. veterans must endure once they return home from serving in combat zones.  Unconventional weaponry and multiple deployments compound cases of post-traumatic stress disorder, and civilian society is often ill-equipped to assist debilitated veterans.  Ms. Bouvard discusses soldiers' experiences and their attempts to reintegrate into society with Democracy Now!'s Amy Goodman.
