About the Program

He was interviewed while at the 2012 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, held on the campus of the University of Southern California.

Over his 30 year career with the U.S. government, Hipolito Acosta worked for the Department of Homeland Security, the Immigration & Naturalization Service, and the U.S. Border Patrol. Most recently, Mr. Acosta served as district director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Citizenship and Immigration Services in Houston.
