"The Fox Effect: How Roger Ailes Turned a Network Into a Propaganda Machine"

David Brock

About the Program

David Brock, founder and CEO of Media Matters, examines the career of Roger Ailes, president of Fox News.   The author contends that Mr. Ailes, a former media consultant for Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush, brought a conservative political agenda to Fox News when he was hired in 1996.  The author argues that Mr. Ailes turned the network into an extension of the Republican Party.   David Brock speaks at Politics & Prose Bookstore in Washington, D.C.
