About the Program

Michael Kranish, investigative reporter at the Boston Globe, presents a biography of former Governor and current Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney.  Mr. Kranish explores Mr. Romney's childhood in Bloomfield, Michigan and his formative years, which included his Mormon missionary work in France.  The author also explores Mr. Romney's professional and political career, which included a tenure at investment firm, Bain Capital, leadership of the 2002 Winter Olympics and his governorship of Massachusetts.  Michael Kranish discusses his book and takes national, viewer phone calls on C-SPAN's morning program, Washington Journal.

Michael Kranish is the co-author of John F. Kerry: The Complete Autobiography and author of Flight from Monticello: Thomas Jefferson at War.  He is the deputy chief of the Washington bureau of The Boston Globe.  Mr. Kranish co-wrote The Real Romney with Scott Helman.
