About the Program
Carl Bogus, law professor at Roger Williams University, recalls the personal and professional life of political commentator, William F. Buckley, Jr. (1925-2008). Mr. Buckley was the founder of the conservative periodical, The National Review, author of numerous books, including, God and Man at Yale, and the host of the television program, Firing Line. The author examines Buckley's efforts to reshape the conservative movement in the 1960's and his lasting impact on conservative leaders, the likes of Ronald Reagan, who cited the National Review as an influence on his political thinking.
