"Rights Gone Wrong: How Law Corrupts the Struggle for Equality"

Richard Thompson Ford

About the Program

Richard Thompson Ford, professor at Stanford Law School, argues that civil rights laws have been misappropriated by individuals, special interest groups, and the political left and right for personal gain.  The author presents several examples of where he believes the current understanding of the law champions' personal entitlements over civil rights and argues that civil rights legislation must be reimagined.  Richard Thompson Ford speaks at The Neuroscience Institute in San Diego.
