Jonathan Steele, former chief foreign correspondent for the Guardian, has twice been named International Reporter of the Year at the British Press Awards.  He is currently a columnist and roving foreign correspondent for the paper.  Mr. Steele's books include "Defeat: Why American and Britain Lost Iraq" and "Soviet Power."
