Paul Farmer

About the Program

Paul Farmer talks about the devastation caused by the earthquake in Haiti that occurred on January 12, 2010 and takes a critical look at the aid agencies which have been working there since.  Dr. Farmer recounts the involvement of the United States and other countries in Haiti and argues that they have contributed to making the impact of the earthquake worse than it may have been.  During this event, Dr. Farmer is interviewed by CBS News medical correspondent, Dr. Jonathan LaPook.
