Richard Brookhiser, senior editor of the National Review, recounts the life of the 4th American President James Madison (1751-1836).  The author examines Madison’s influence in the framing of the U.S. Constitution, collaboration on the Federalist Papers, development of the Republican Party, and his command of troops during the War of 1812.  Richard Brookhiser speaks at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
