The former New York Times reporter who wrote feature stories on the election of 2008, spent two years interviewing Stanley Ann Dunham’s friends and family, including President Obama, to create a complete portrait of the internationally-known mother.  Ms. Scott discusses what she learned about the woman who raised the 44th president with National Journal’s Major Garrett.
