About the Authors

Edward Lengel

Edward Lengel is a professor at the University of Virginia and editor-in-chief of the Papers of George Washington.  He's the author of numerous books, including "General George Washington: A Military Life" and "This Glorious Struggle: George Washington's Revolutionary War Letters." Mr. Lengel is also an adviser for the History Channel.
