About the Program

Independent Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont discusses his eight and a half hour speech that he delivered on the Senate floor on December 10, 2010.  In the speech, Senator Sanders was critical of President Obama's extension of the Bush administration tax cuts for top earners and diminished estate tax rates as well as the disappearance of America's middle class.  Sen. Bernie Sanders talks about the speech, which was recently published into a book, at Busboys & Poets in Washington, D.C.
