About the Program

 

Pauline Maier is the author of four books:

From Resistance to Revolution” (1972);  The Old Revolutionaries (1980);  American Scripture (1997); and Ratification (2010).  She has also authored or co-authored two text books: The American People: A History (1986) and Inventing America (2002).
 

About the Authors

Pauline Maier

Pauline Maier is a Fulbright scholar and holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University. A popular scholar of the American Revolution, the preceding era and post-revolutionary America, she is the William R. Kenan Jr. Professor of American History at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
