George Washington's America: A Biography Through His Maps

Barnet Schecter

About the Program

Barnet Schecter presents a biography of George Washington's life through the maps that the first President drafted and collected.  The maps range from those Washington used during his early career as a surveyor, many he used during the American Revolution, and a survey of his estate at Mount Vernon.  Barnet Schecter presents Washington's maps at the New York Society Library in New York City.
