Thomas Allen presents a history of Tory Americans during the American Revolution.  Self-proclaimed Loyalists to the British crown, the author recounts the Tory strongholds of New York and Philadelphia, a civil war that took place amongst the American populace, and the migration of 80,000 Tories, most of whom left for Canada.  Thomas Allen discusses his book at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
