Linda Gordon, history professor at New York University, recalls the life of documentary photographer Dorothea Lange whose photographs of Americans during the Great Depression chronicled the era.  Linda Gordon presents her book and presents examples of Dorothea Lange's photographs at the Leon Levy Center for Biography at the City University of New York Graduate Center in New York City.

Linda Gordon is a history professor at New York University.  She is the author of several books, including The Great Arizona Orphan Abduction that was the recipient of the Bancroft Prize in 2002.
