Harriet Reisen, recounts the life of Louisa May Alcott, writer, Civil War nurse, abolitionist, and feminist.  Her two-hundred written works included novels, plays, and pieces of reportage.  The author of Little Women, out sold the books Herman Melville and Ralph Waldo Emerson.  Harriet Reisen presents her book at the Boston Public Library.

Harriet Reisen is a former screenwriting fellow at the American Film Institute.  She has written several documentary scripts, including a PBS documentary of Louisa May Alcott.
