Lewis Sorley talks about his book "A Better War: The Unexamined Victories and the Final Tragedy of America's Last Years in Vietnam."  The book focuses on the second half of the war starting with the arrival of General Abrams through to the fall of Saigon.  It was recently reported that military officers were reading Mr. Sorley's book (originally published in 1999) to gain insight on what to do in Afghanistan.   

About the Authors

Lewis Sorley

Lewis Sorley, a West Point graduate, has served on the faculties at West Point and the Army War College.  He also served as a senior civilian official at the Central Intelligence Agency.  Mr. Sorley is the author of "Thunderbolt: General Creighton Abrams and the Army of His Times."
