About the Program
Robert Samuelson and Liaquat Ahamed appeared at the 2009 Fall for the Book literary festival to discuss their latest books and talk about the current economic crisis. They answered questions from the audience following their remarks.
Paul Samuelson
Robert Samuelson, columnist for Newsweek and the Washington Post, is the author of "The Good Life and Its Discontents" and "Untruth: Why Converntional Wisdom Is (Almost Always) Wrong."
Liaquat Ahamed
Liaquat Ahamed has been a professional investment manager for twenty-five years and is currently an adviser to several hedge fund groups. Mr. Ahamed is a director of Aspen Insurance Company and is on the board of trustees of the Brookings Institution. He formerly worked at the World Bank.
