About the Program

Edith Gelles, senior scholar at Stanford University's Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research, recounts the fifty-four year marriage of Abigail and John Adams.  Ms. Gelles focuses on the correspondences between the couple that gives insight into the inner workings of their relationship and the political and social changes that were going on around them.  This event was hosted by Book Passage Bookstore in Corte Madera, California.
