All the News Unfit to Print: How Things Were...and How They Were Reported

Eric Burns

About the Program

Eric Burns, author and former host of  "Fox News Watch," recounts deliberately false and error prone stories that exist within the history of American journalism.  Mr. Burns profiles the authors and their motivations that range from Samuel Clemens's (Mark Twain's)  bogus discovery of a 100-year-old "Petrified Man" and Benjamin Franklin's fabricated report of "The Trial of Miss Polly Baker."  This event was hosted by Barnes & Noble in New York City.
