About the Program
From Book TV's archives, a conversation between Michael Meeropol, the eldest son of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg and his daughter, Ivy Meeropol, the director and producer of "Heir to An Execution," which focuses on the legacy of her grandparents. The trial of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg began on March 6, 1951. The conversation, which took place at the 2009 Key West Literary Seminar, is moderated by historian David Levering Lewis.
Michael Meeropol
Michael Meeropol is the author of several books, including "Surrender, How the Clinton Administration Completed the Reagan Revolution." Mr. Meeropol has been a regular commentator on politics and economy for the Albany NPR station, WAMC-FM and is currently Chair of the Department of Economics at Western New England College. Mr. Meeropol is the eldest son of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg and is co-author of "We are Your Sons, The Legacy of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg."

Ivy Meeropol is a producer and director of documentary films, which include "Heir to An Execution" that focuses on her grandparents Ethel and Julius Rosenberg.
David Levering Lewis
David Levering Lewis is the author of several books, including two biographies of W.E.B. Du Bois, "W.E.B. Du Bois, 1868-1919: Biography of a Race" and "W.E.B. Du Bois: The Fight for Equality and the American Century, 1919-1963" that have each won the Pulitzer Prize for biography.
