About the Program

William (Bill) Ayers talks about two books he co-edited on the problems facing city schools, students, and teachers.  "City Kids, City Teachers" is an updated edition of a book first published ten years ago.  "City Kids, City Schools" is a new book that looks at the state of public city schools today.  During the Q&A portion of this program, Professor Ayers talked about becoming the target of attacks during the 2008 presidential election.  This event was hosted by Teaching for Change and DC VOICE.
