Brad Matsen presents research on the Titanic disaster to better comprehend why the ship sunk so quickly. Mr. Matsen with the assistance of deep-sea divers and shipwreck investigators, John Chatterton and Richie Kohler, contend that the Titanic's flaws were born during the construction of the ship. The author and researchers surmise that the ship's hull originally called for greater steel plating and bigger rivets. The result of a lighter ship allowed for a savings on weight and coal to power the Titanic but may have also been the reason for the ship's rapid demise. The Titanic sank on April 15, 1912.
