Donald Ritchie, historian at the U.S. Senate Historical Office, recounts the presidential election of 1932 that pitted Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his New Deal policy platform against the incumbent, Herbert Hoover.  Mr. Ritchie follows the election from the primaries to the enactment of the New Deal.  Donald Ritchie presents his book at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
