About the Program

John and Abigail Adams kept a written correspondence throughout their relationship that contained a commentary on the political landscape of the newly formed country.  A collection of couples, including Senator Ted Kennedy and Victoria Kennedy, Governor Duvall Patrick and Diane Patrick, and former Governor Michael Dukakis and Kitty Dukakis read selections from the letters of John and Abigail Adams at Fanueil Hall in Boston, Massachusetts.
