Pat Shipman profiles the life of Margaretha Zelle who fled her Dutch upbringing and arrived in Paris in 1903 recast as Mata Hari, dancer and accused spy. Throughout World War I Mata Hari became renowned for her performances and employ as a spy for both Germany and France. Ms. Shipman examines Mata Hari's career and the allegiations of espionage that led to her execution by firing squad on October 15, 1917.
