In his book, " In Defense of the Religious Right," political consultant Patrick Hynes challenges negative stereotypes associated with conservative Christians. He refers to religious conservatives as "the lifeblood of the Republican party." Mr. Hynes discuses the book with Richard Cizik, vice president for governmental affairs for the National Association of Evangelicals. Mr. Cizik serves as a guest interviewer and is not an employee of C-SPAN.
