After Words

After Words: Mark Smith interviewed by Nan Aron

About the Program

Attorney and media commentator Mark Smith is the author of "The Official Handbook of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy: The Arguments You Need to Defeat the Loony Left," originally published in 2004 and recently updated. In his latest book, "Disrobed," Mr. Smith, vice president of the New York City chapter of the Federalist Society, argues that liberals use their control of the American judicial system to advance their political agendas. He suggests ways for conservatives to challenge liberals on this front. Interviewing Mr. Smith about his book is Nan Aron, president of the Alliance for Justice. Since 1985 the Alliance for Justice has been involved in influencing the judicial nominations process. They helped to defeat of the nomination of Robert Bork to the Supreme Court in 1987 and worked to bring about the filibuster of ten of President George W. Bush's judicial nominees. Ms. Aron is the author of "Liberty and Justice for All: Public Interest Law in the 1980's and Beyond."
