About the Program

This week on After Words, David Vise a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter for the Washington Post describes "The Google Story." It started when two Stanford University PhD students created an internet search engine the mid-1990s. Using a combination of new technology and unconventional business practices the company continues to try and organize all information on the World Wide Web for free. He is interviewed Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) Chairman, House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet, and Intellectual Property.
