About the Program
This week on After Words, James Yee author of, "For God And Country: Faith and Patriotism Under Fire" describes his experience as an Army Muslim Chaplain at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The military base held almost 700 captured enemy combatants detained during the War on Terror. He explains and the events that led to his arrest and imprisonment on charges that he was a national security risk. He is interviewed by Rowan Scarbourgh, defense and military reporter for the Washington Times who broke the story in the newspaper on September 20, 2003.
