In "The Stevensons" Jean Baker traces former U.S. senator from Illinois Adlai Ewing Stevenson III's family history. Ms. Baker describes the family's Scottish-Irish roots, and details the lives and careers of several family members, including Grover Cleveland's Vice-President Adlai Stevenson and two-time Democratic presidential candidate and former Illinois governor Adlai Stevenson II.
Jean Baker
Jean Baker has been a professor in the Goucher College History Department in Baltimore, Maryland since 1970. She is the author of "Maryland: A History of Its People," "Mary Todd Lincoln: A Biography," and edited "Votes for Women: The Women Suffrage Battle Revisited."
