About the Program
Author and historian Doris Kearns Goodwin is our guest on In Depth. Over the span of three decades, Ms. Goodwin has written about such political figures as Lyndon Johnson, the Kennedys, FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt, and, most recently, Abraham Lincoln. Her books include: "Lyndon Johnson & the American Dream" (1977), "The Fitzgeralds & The Kennedys" (1987), the Pulitzer Prize-winning "No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The American Homefront During World War II" (1994), and "Wait Till Next Year: A Memoir" (1997). Prior to writing her own books, Ms. Goodwin assisted ex-president Lyndon Johnson with his 1971 memoir, "The Vantage Point." Her latest book is "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln."
