About the Authors

Elizabeth Nunez

Elizabeth Nunez is Provost and former English Professor at Medgar Evers College, The City University of New York.  She received her Ph.D. in English from New York University. She is the award-winning author of six novels, including Prospero's Daughter.

Tracey Syphax

Tracey Syphax is the author of From the Block to the Boardroom: A Memoir.  He is also the president and CEO of a construction firm and a real estate firm and a founding board member of Minding Our Business, a Trenton, N.J. public school program that teaches 6th and 7th grade students how to start and run a business.  Mr. Syphax is a former host of the show "Violence Serves No Purpose," which ran on local radio and television in New Jersey.
